A boy must brave deep winter snow to obtain an important family keepsake. Before he can even start this difficult journey, he must first help his family survive financial ruin, rescue his beloved pet goat, and with his best friend, outwit a bratty bully who seems out to get him at every turn. Will he make it back to the village in time to celebrate the end-of-winter holiday of Chalandamarz?

Join us for a special evening celebrating Swiss cinema, hosted by the Swiss Embassy and Canberra German Week, this event will take place at Palace Cinemas. With a focus on Swiss culture, guests can enjoy a delightful reception with Swiss-inspired snacks and wine before settling in for an engaging feature film.

This family-friendly event will include a brief introduction by the Deputy Head of Mission, Embassy of Switzerland in Australia, Mrs Natasha Fröjd, followed by the screening of the acclaimed Swiss film “Schellen-Ursli”.
